My Son It's hard to believe you have been gone for 30 years. It seems like yesterday I heard your voice and and saw your wonderful smile and sweet, kind spirit. You left much too soon, but I am so grateful for the years I had the privilege of being your Mother.
My beloved big brother John, how I have missed you every single day since June 14th, 1980, the worst day of my life. I will love and miss you forever.........Love your adoring little sister Kim xoxo
Please take comfort in knowing that John is not forgotten- that the tragedy impacted many of our young lives, and forced us to look outward for the first time. His smile and sweet nature were trancendent, and that memory of him still endures. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
I sat next to John in English class at Sam Brannan. We talked and talked all period about who-knows-what. I can still hear his gentle voice, his sense of humor, and just that general coolness that was John Crawford. I will never forget him. Our hearts go out to you each and every day.
I knew John at Sam Brannan. He was a very nice kid and came to my house one time. I remember that he spent a lot of time outdoors. I can't help thinking back on those days without remembering him and your family's tremendous loss. He'll always be in my thoughts and prayers.
I remember John from elementary school. He was always kind and polite. We looked like we could have been brothers. He was my friend at that time. I think of him at times.
