Marshall passed away of heart disease at the very young age of 43. After having a "great time" at ARC for a year after Norte, we volunteered for the draft. I ended up in an Army Band in San Francisco and,of course, Marshall volunteered for the paratroopers and spent 2 years in the 82nd Airborn Division in South Carolina !

Marshall spent his short but very successful career with Pacific Bell which took he and his family to Napa Calif. where his wonderful wife Joannie still lives. (Joan Littke, Norte class of 1962 and her sister Pat Littke, class of 1958.) They had two great kids, David who is married with a child and Beth who is a practicing attorney.

Marshall was that proverbial person who could walk into a room of strangers and walk out with many new friends. His empathy and caring for others was special.

He was my very best friend and buddy and in my heart he always will be.
