In Memory

Jack Sellers

We sincerely regret to inform our classmates of the passing of Jack Sellers of our June Class.  There are numerous articles about Jack on the internet, with photos, giving the date of his death as Oct. 24, 2016 in Sacramento, CA.  Jack, who with his family ran Coca Cola bottling company here in Sacramento, was also very much into professional NASCAR car racing.  He will be missed by so many.

I remember eating lunch off campus with Jack. Jack was the Coke guy, so that's what he drank. The rest of us made a point of ordering Pepsi. All in fun.

Jack was a crazy guy with a heart of gold.  Even though many of you didn't know it he was very generous to many with donating to events. I will miss him.  He did a lot of living in his life.

In 1972-74, I was a bartender at the Pine Cove Tavern. For the most part, Sunday afternoons were basically quiet, until the Sellar brothers showed up. They always ate at the bar, up close near the booze. Jack, Steve, and Tobi always shared a joke with me, always tried to get me to take a drink behind the bar, I never did.  They were fun guys and never stayed very long.  They were off going duck hunting or women hunting, what ever what was in season at the time.  <TK>
