El Camino High School
Class Of 1962

Welcome to the El Camino High Class Of 1962 web site. Here you will find a lot of interesting information about our class, as well as "profiles" for many of your classmates.  Please click on "classmate profiles", find your name, and enter information about yourself so we can find out where you have been for the past 50 years and what you are up to now.

Our last reunion was held on September 22, 2012 in Sacramento, with about 200 classmates attending.  We are currently planning our 60ths reunion (see announcement below) and hope to see you all there!

This website is being maintained to help us stay in touch with each other, and to learn more about each other's lives since High School.  Please take advantage of the site by exploring the profiles that are already posted, fill out your own profile including pictures, and visit the "in memory" section to add remembrances for classmates who have passed away.  We also incourage you to add whatever information or photos is appropriate to other galleries listed on the left side of the page.  If you have any questions, please contact one of the site administrators:  Joe Torgesen (jktorgesen@gmail.com) or Ken Stroth (kkstroth@sbcglobal.net)

Final Notice for 60th Reunion

It's time to finalize your plans for the Reunion, your Reunion Subcommittee i.e. Ann L., Nikke V., Tom Stone, Jim Coe and I have completed the planning for our 60th Class Reunion.

As decided months ago it will be held Sept. 25th, 2022, 4 to 9 pm. at the Dante Club, 2330 Fair Oaks Blvd., Sacramento.

It is planned to be a casual sit down dinner event with a no-host bar.

To make the planning and physical set-up much easier for us "Older" students, we decided to have the Dante Club provide most of the trappings, subsequently the per person cost will be somewhat more than originally planned.

The package consist of a full course dinner which you will offered the following;

    4:00 pm greetings and sign-in

    4:30 Hors o'deuvres, Tomato Bruschetta or Korean Meatballs.

    5:30 Salad, Baby Greens, Tomatos, Red onion, Cucumber, Shredded Carrots with Champagne                               Vinaigrette

    6:00 Entree, your choice of Parmesan Crusted Chicken or Grilled Filet Mignon, Garlic Mashed Potatoes                 or Herb Roasted Potatoes and

            Seasonal Vegetables, Dinner Rolls with Sweet Butter

    7:00 Dessert served Al La Cart, House made Red Velvet Cup Cakes and Cannoli and Coffee

Please choose one of the Entree, one of the Protean (Chicken or Beef) and one of the Vegitables (Potatoes)

Misc trappings include all of the table settings, decorations, background music and a speaker system for those of you who wish to address the group,

The cost for each Guest will be $75.00 and will be required to be prepaid. Payment will not be accepted at the door. Gratuity, Tax and Service Charges are all included.

Ken will be handling the collection of payment, menus selection, banking of funds and final payment to the Dante Club.

It is therefore requested that payment and menu selection be sent to Ken before August 15th, 2022.

Checks will be made out to; (to make it easier for Ken checks are preferred)

Mailed to;

Ken Stroth, 3001 Deer Valley Road, Rescue, Ca. 95672

Include your menu selection.

If you have and questions concerning payment,  Ken can be contacted at, kkstroth@sbcglobal.net

Initally we received 60 responses that indicated that you would be coming. This number was used to plan the event with the Dante Club. We are very hopefull that your plans have not changed as it has implications with the Dante Club. Hopefully this number will increase which will make the event that much more successful.

Finally, you should make every effort to attend this Reunion. Ann and I have decided to pass on any planning effort in the future. If any of you wish to take over, we would be very happy and do what ever we can to assist.

With regards to the Class Website, Joe T. and I will continue to provide what ever we can to keep it up and running. It may be necessary to ask again for donations to keep the Subscription.

To rap this up, if any of you are aware of any of our Classmates that don't follow the Website, they are more than welcome to attend. Please have them contact me.

Thank you and look forward to seeing all of you in September., Ken

The Reunion is behind us and from all reports is was an overwhelming success. Even though it was a small group (50), it was a very good cross section of the Class. From feed back I received, everyone had a great time visiting and reconnecting. The Dante Club provided a very nice and accommodating venue and the food was enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the photo's you post here and I am available to help if necessary. Since Ann and I will be stepping down from future Reunion planning, anyone wishing to take our place will be welcome. Ann, Nikke and I can be available to help. With regards to this website, we plan to keep it up and running as long as we are able, funds are adequate to cover the subscription for several years to come.

Both Ann and I have had a great time planning these events and wish to thank all of your for your support. Take care and be safe. Ken
