I hate to think that so many of those that passed away have been forgotten by so many.  Tony was a good friend of  my late husband, Frank Pierce.  Tony was also my big crush in 8th and 9th grade.  We attended a Christmas dinner party at some country club in either 8th or 9th grade and they served cornish hens and we all sat at the table looking at our plates not having any idea how to eat them.  I also remember Tony being in my senior english class, last period and he sat in the back of the room and always slept through the entire class.

I recall out 8th grade trip to San Francisco on the train and I think it was Nick Stubbs sitting in the back of the train car playing with a pocket knife and I think it was Tony that got stabbed in th hand.

Frank and I tracked Tony down when we were living in NC and Tony was living in VA, we talked for a long time but were not able to see each other.

Tony served in the USN during the Vietnam era.

Tony and I joined the Navy together and went through 'boot camp', he went East I went West.  We met up after we left the Navy and remained close friends until he and his wife moved to VA.  Lost contact for over 25 years.  Finally got ahold of him and enjoyed a few long distance calls before I received an E informing me he was leaving this world.  So many fond memories....Many nites playing cards, trips to Folsom with his wife and kids and quite a few Christmas Eves putting toys together for the kids after he and Donna had dozed off.  Rest in peace old friend.
