Nancy and I had several classes together and she was always fun to be around.  In 1960 she was diagnosed with M.S. and was forced to drop from school due to her illness.  We stayed in touch and she was always upbeat, in fact she started and was very active in the MS. society.  I ran into her and her longtime boyfriend at Arden Plaza in 1990.  We had dinner that night and played I remember when, going through her yearbooks.  She was a very caring woman and I miss her to this day.  Sleep tight Nancy.

In the late 60's early 70's I lived on Vesta Way, area was called the Garden of the Gods.  Nancy and her family lived

just a few streets over from us.  We both had small children.  I was so amazed and impressed wiith how she stayed so

strong and even when she lost her eye sight for a time, she remained strong.  She was always giving talks here there

and everywhere, while being a great mom and wife.

Thanks Jim,  I had not heard and thoughts of her have been with me over the many years.  I'm sure she is one of those

angles that is still working hard to be of help to others.

I do not remember Nancy but just reading Jim and Vicki's wonderful memmories  made me wish I had gotten to know her. For those of us who attended the 50th last September, seeing the 'remembrence' display in the back of the ballroom was a very emotional awakening for me.

We've lost nearly 10% of our classmates and the majority of our teachers and faculty. The thing I hate the most about growing old is not the aches and pains, not the diminishing eyesight--but having to say good-bye to so many family members and close friends. These were the folks who gave us unconditional love, nurtured us--and, in the case of our four years at EC--taught and inspired us. For that we should be eternally grateful.
