Mary (Carol) Monahan (Snyder) reports and remembers:
Carol Nakano Tanaka passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 1013, from cancer. She had a set of twin boys and 5 other children. Carol and her husband Roy became devout Jehovah's witnesses in the early seventies. They studied the Hmong language and established the first Jehovah's Witness Hmong Congregation in the U.S. in the early 90's. The Hmong group has grown so much locally that they have established the only Hmong Translation Center at the below address. I haven't seen her in a few years but remember her as very warm and kind. Truly a wonderful spiritual person. I will miss her and so sorry I did not stay in contact. Life is just too busy in these times.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 1:00 - 3:00 p.m TIME CORRECTION., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3409 52nd Ave, Sacramento, CA.

I was so very sorry to hear that Carol had passed away. My deepest condolences to her family. It is to be hoped that they will find at least some comfort in their own apparently very strong religious beliefs.
Too many of our classmates have left us -- too young.

Every time I see a memory addition, it is truly sad time. It is a loss to our McClatchy family "63. As some of us were discussing at the reunion, we are shrinking at an alarming rate. My condolences to the family. May the find peace in celebrating her life.

To Carols family my thoughts and prayers are wtih you at this sad time.
I was so impressed with her and her husbands accomplishments for their church.
May the memories each of you shared over the years remain with you, know the stars in the sky each night will tell you she is shining down on you guiding you through this new chapter of your lives.
