David and I were art & music buddies throughout our school years, sharing sketches, songs, and new guitar chords. He was incredibly talented and a constant inspiration to me. We worked together in 1960 at Tower Drugs (adjacent to the Tower Theater) when owner Russ Solomon decided to try selling LPs out of a small walk-in closet-size section in the back of the store. That was the first Tower Records and David was one of it's first employees.
I don't recall the destination for this formal occasion (Jr. prom? DeMolay dance?) or how I convinced the lovely and way-out-of-my-league Carolyn Clark to be my date, but I do remember having a great time and laughing a lot. I treasure this photo and my time with David.
I'm picturing him now surrounded by a group of angels, teaching them some cool new chords.
Miss you, buddy.

So sad to see another one of our class mates pass. With David's deep believe in Christ it was probably an easy transaition. I spoke to David at our last Reunion and recall him telling me about his love for music.
David, Don Gomez, Gary Hacckett, Bob Daughtery, Doug Simmons (my neighbor) and myself were great friends and sort of ran together in a "pack" in Junior Hi and in Hight School. Had a lot of fun and of course some mischeff together. Also sad to see his sister Sally passed away. She was in class of 1964. Take care my friends and see you all at our Reunion. Bill Yeager

It seems we have reached that time in our lives were we are saying good bye to life long friends. Even at our ages it seems to early. Our up coming reunion gives us more purpose for gathering, reminiscing, & remembering Mike & Dave. Diane Malone
