Dennis was a very smart student and friendly. He ended up going to Dental School and had a practice in San Leandro Calif ?   He was the nerdy type with always a pen in his shirt pocket.

In addition he always had a joke to tell to make you laugh;  the funny part was that infectious laugh of his, in which

he would start laughing before finishing his joke and that  would crack up your funny bone.

Miss ya man ;  RIP

Dennis and I roomed together at Cal during our freshman and sophmore years. We pretty much lost touch after he went to dental school.  He never bragged about being smarter than me, but he beat me in just about every cerebral game we played. I could only beat him in ping pong, bowling, pool and beer.

Way back at Cal Junior High, Dennis and I got into coin collecting together. We would ride our bikes from Land Park all the way to the main Wells Fargo bank down town and buy a $50 bag of pennies which we could hardly lift. We'd take turns putting it in our bike baskets and trying not to fall off our bikes while balancing this bag of pennies.  Once home we would spend hours going through the coins, looking for treasures.  I spent a lot of time with him and really enjoyed his company.  It was a shock to hear he had passed away.  He was a good friend.
