Ed showed up at my apartment door step in 1971. I think he had the wrong Sonja, there was another Sonja who lived across the parking lot. I was dating Doug (my husband) at the time, he invited Ed to join the dozen or so people gathered in my apartment to dinner & party. At the evening's end we were merry with drink & Ed & I sat on the back of the T Bird convertible waving as the car drove around the parking lot. We fell off the car & Ed stepped on my foot , I fell face forward, I ended out in ER & surgery with a crushed cheek bone. Never saw Ed again.
Ed was one of a kind, a part of the great family of Zawacki's, starting with the father and extending to Fred. One couldn't keep track of them all. Ed's father marshalled us kids at Holy Spirit Church to do what we were supposed to do. Sweet memories.

I still remember Ed Zawacki back in the days. He always had that friendly smile and and was a nice guy and classmate..
Rest in peace Ed.

Going to miss see Ed at the reunion. He was a good friend to me and my family. He is missed.
