I remember John from Sierra grammar school. He was a very nice, polite, good natured person with a great sense of humor. It was doubly sad to hear that he had suicided-before the first reunion if I remember correctly.  He gave me the first Valentine I ever got from a boy so the memory is bitter-sweet.

As classmates at CKM, John and I worked on weekends to restore an old Corvette that he had in his parents garage in old Land Park.

John was the Best Man at my wedding on November 20, 1965. I truly miss his gentleman politness and friendship while at CKM. He had plans to marry his longtime girlfriend Diane the following year.

I went to Vietnam and then to Europe and lost communications with John and his family until 1981 when I learned of his death. I still remember him through our wedding pictures.

I have fond memories of John from Sierra, except when he obliterated me when we played a first and last game of tether ball. I saw his older sister years later--it was sad to hear about his death.

Yes, I remember John riding his bike through our neighborhood.  He was kind, gentle, intelligent and sensitive. He gave me a wooden box with inlade mother of pearl one day.  I was very sad to learn of his suicide. I am sad to think of it now.

John liv!ed on the same street as I did. I moved to Sacramento from Seattle in the seventh grade. I didn't go to elementary school in Sacramento. In fact I think I started Cal Junior in 8th grade. Very sad

I remember John. Quiet, sweet, gentleman. So sad 😞 he left us early. You are missed!
