Once in a while Louenna Hansen and I would take a drive up to Pollock Pines to visit and lunch with Sheila. She lived in a wooded area and made a warm and inviting home for her family and friends. Sheila was a spunky lady and I will miss seeing her.
Sheila and I were close friends at McClatchy. As Julie Ferreira said, she was definitely a "spunky" and "fiesty" lady and lots of fun. The summer before our Senior Year Tammy Blattner, Sheila and myself went on a vacation to Winnemucca, Nevada to visit Tammy's aunt and uncle. What an experience! Not much to do in a small town in the middle of the dessert! The only big event was the Saturday Night Drag Races! We did end up having a great time. Sheila did come to our 35th Class Reuniion and I know she and her husband, Leroy truly enjoyed themselves. We then lost touch but I have many fond memories of our friendship. My sincere sympahy and condolences to Leroy and family.
