I always feel a personal loss when one of our classmates pass away, rather I knew the person or not. I didn't know Jack personally, but I knew he was coming to the reunion and I was looking forward to seeing him there.
I look forward to reading the shared comments of classmates that knew Jack. I feel like I'll know him through someone else's experience, and it helps keep his memory alive. Rest in peace, Jack.

I was shocked to read about Jacks passing. He was always a great guy to be around. His cheerful and intelligent demeanor made him an exceptional man. I last saw him about 12 years ago having lunch at our restaurant with Johan Otto and Rick Whittsel. We had a nice visit remembering the good old days of our youth growing up in Land Park. He had signed up to attend our upcomming reunion.Iwas really looking forward to seeing him again. God speed and rest in peace my old friend !

Simply said Jack was the class icon.

Jack was one of the first people I met, transferring from Christian Borthers into McClatchy. He was friendly, funny, and a leader. Although we did not run in the same circles we still maintained a friendship and had some fun times during HS.
Sorry to see so many of my firends leave.
