Daniel Boehm

Daniel Boehm- Saginaw, Michigan - Passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence surrounded by his family. Age 60 years. The son of the late Kermit and Ruby (Heldman) Boehm was born June 7, 1947 in Bluffton, Ohio. He married Priscilla Kurth in 1970. She passed away in 1991. He later married Janice Ellis, October 22, 1994. She survives him. Mr. Boehm was a graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN, Class of 1970. He served in the teaching ministry for over twenty-five years, most recently as principal and teacher at St. John Lutheran Church and School in Bay City. He also served with Wolverine Human Services as a family worker. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church on Brockway Rd. where he served as an elder. Surviving with his wife are seven children and their spouses, Lucas and Rachel Boehm, South St. Paul, MN; Rinda Boehm, Asheville, NC; Pastor Aaron and Gena Boehm, La Mesa, CA; Anna and Tim Vogel, Cedar Rapids, IA; Carrie and Jonathan Hozeska, Saginaw, MI; Amy and Charley Kottler, Pittsburg, PA; Matt Ellis and his fiance, Cory Billmeier, Saginaw, MI; five grandchildren, Ian and Micah Boehm, Priscilla and Aiden Boehm, Jonas Vogel. Three more grandchildren will join his family this year. Four brothers and their spouses, Dave and Julaine Boehm, Bluffton, OH; Steve and Doris Boehm, Murfreesboro, TN; John and Diane Boehm, Saginaw, MI; Nate and Kay Boehm, Jenera, OH; many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 4705 Brockway Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Daniel P. Garbow will officiate with private family burial in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Kawkawlin. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. John Ev. Lutheran Church School, 4705 Brockway Rd. Saginaw or Michigan Lutheran Seminary. Mr. Boehm's family wish to thank the doctors, nurses, staff and caregivers who cared for Dan so well over the last year.
