My favorite memory of Stu was at our 25th reunion. He was already retired, walked with a cane and was fighting MS. When Mark Matzke was passing out awards for various categories, he got to classmate with the most kids. Stu hollered out "We're not done yet." As he grabbed his cane and proceeded up to pick up his MLS Christmas ornament, I remember Mark giving him ALL the remaining ornaments.

When my life goes wrong I remind myself of how upbeat Stu was right to the end. He was more or less pushed members of his church to quite teaching, because of his ms. He stayed with the church and found packages on his porch from members of the church that he got a raw deal from some.I was very glad to have hooked back up with him before he went to heaven and picked right up were we left off. Stu always excepted no mater what jerk I could be, My o9nly rgreat was that I did not tell this man how much I love him,and have since let my friends of my feelins. I was at the funnereal and the church was packed. He left his wife a 5year old daughter and two sons in collage. They have all growen to be fine young people. I miss this man deeply even today.
