He was a graduate of AHHS 1964the received an Associate degreee from Delta College and began a career in financial service at Lutheran Brotherhood. He was a deacon and Gideon. He was an avid Tiger and Loons fan. His wife Kay Buchinger Jewell survives him along with 5 grandchildren and 3 daughters. Funeral services took place at St Michael's Lutheran church with burial in their cemetary.
