Mike was certainly fun to be around. I think I have this story right, but it's been a long time. Our parents let Tom Rulison and I tent camp at the East Tawas park for a week. We would been fifteen or sixteen. What were they thinking! At any rate, Mike was boating with Drew Thompson's family. We met them by chance one day and spent some time doing whatever things goofy 15 year olds do. The next morning, we were awakened when the stakes to our tent were pulled out at an early hour and without warning. It was awkward. Do I need to add that Drew and Mike had returned to their boat and left Tawas before we could get organized? A good trick and a good memory.
