What a goofy photo! Still remember my Dad insisting on those glasses; "if I am going to pay for them, this is what you get. Why, because I said so, yada, yada". Although different glasses may not have helped either :')
Two total knee replacements later, am working on my golf game while we look for an impossible to find "fixer-upper" in the GA, NC, or SC highlands, on water no less, for which we will likely spend most of our kids' inheritance.
Recently retired from packaging industry after 46 years, alternating between commercial and ops responsibilities.
Followed the pay checks from Kalamazoo to Ohio (Sylvania and Perrysburg), finally landing in Newnan, GA, 20 min south-west of Atlanta, where we have lived since 1993, while working in Peachtree City, GA.
Saved from total self-induced annihilation (how did I ever survive the 60s/early 70s?) by wife Nancy. Married 36+ years now with two kids; Erin 32 and Dan 28. BA and MBA from Western.
Enjoyed a reunion with cousins in Charlevoix last summer so parts of MI still fresh and pleasant for me. Visit Mom several times a year at Shattuck Manor. Sister Patti and husband Ed are in Freeland. And we still have an undeveloped wooded 10 acre parcel, with beautiful Deer Creek meandering through it, between Boyne Mtn and East Jordan that we will sell to you cheap (story here is I bought it in the winter, snow-covered of course, and went back up in Spring to see all the cat-tails; joke's on me!).
Looking forward to the August weekend and especially interested in bumping into any of the small cadre of kids who left Peace School in 1960 to the big/bad environs of South, then over to AHHS, finally catapulted on our way to who-knew-what. What a trip!
