Duane's obit : Duane R. Spaedt born 8/23/46 passed away on Friday October 16, 2015 at his home with his family. He was 69 years old. After AHHS he attended Lawrence institute of technology. He married Sue Ellen Wahl May 10, 1969, she survives him. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1971. Later he would work for the Postal service as a mail carrier for 32 years until his retirement in Jan. 2003. Duane was President of the Generations Family CU for 25 years. He was a coach for Saginaw Township soccer teams and for little league baseball, past member of Maple Hill Golf Club and achieved 5 holes in one. He also is survived by 2 sons and one daughter David (Piper), Jeff (Alicia, and Melinda (Michael MeGovern, 5 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. His mother Hannah and brother,David. funeral will take place at 11AM Wednesday 10/21 at St Dominic Catholic Parish-St. Peter and Paul site with burial at St. Andrews. Visitation Tuesday at Deisler's.
Duane was a good friend from 3rd grade through AHHS and through the Post Office and Credit Union later. He was a great person and always had a smile for everyone. We will miss you, Duane.
