 Ronald Dale Vasey
Saginaw, Michigan

Ronald Dale Vasey, 76 years old, of Saginaw Michigan, passed away on December 10, 2022 after a fight against Alzheimer’s disease over the years.

Ron was born on May 15, 1946 to Ronald & Irene Vasey in Saginaw MI. After Ron graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1964, he went on to the army for four years. After returning from the military, he went to work for General Motors at the Steering Gear located in Bridgeport MI. Realizing over some time that wasn’t for him he bought into a franchise called United Rental, which later became Grand Rental Station located on State Street in Saginaw MI. After 20 years of ownership, he decided to sell the company and moved to Florida doing various businesses. In 2004, he went into a partnership with his daughter, Shelley Vasey, for the ownership of Primary Home Care in which he later retired.

In 1969, Ron met Roxann Zehnder at Bill Knapp’s Restaurant while working together, as a cook and waitress. Ron and Roxann went on to have two children, Torri & Shelley. After retirement, Ron spent most of his time in Florida, attending Grandkids sporting events, spending time with family, exercising at the YMCA and/or bike riding 30 miles a day. Ron was an avid reader and liked spending time at his Swan Valley condo or visiting the beaches of Florida.

Ron is survived by his wife Roxann, two daughters Torri & Shelley, three grandchildren, Cole, Kaiya, and Tylee; his brother, John Vasey and brother-in-law, Denny Zehnder (Sheri); nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ron was predeceased by his mother, father, his sister-in-law, Bonnie Vasey and most recently his sister-in-law, Connie and Rick Nowaczyk.

We also would like to make mention regarding the caregiving team at Chesaning Comfort Care. The staff were very dedicated to caring for our dad throughout his stay there and we cannot say enough about the girls in his unit and the office administration that were always willing to help in difficult situations while caring for our dad.

Funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army and V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Ronald Dale Vasey
