per John Gunther " Jim was one of my best friends, through high school and many years after. He wanted desperately to serve during Vietnam, but was rejected because of very poor eyesight. Jim loved to hunt and fish, and was one of those kind of people who would give you the shirt off his back. He was a barber by profession and had his own shop for several years until his eyesight deteriorated so badly he couldn't continue with his trade." He was a beloved father.
yes and I was one of jim Bluhm's good friends during HIgh School. We had fun with cars. We spent a lot of time together, John McGhee, John Gunther, Jim Bluhm and me John Ellis. Miss them much .
Just saw your comment (John Ellis). I rarely peruse this site, but happened to be nosing thru the "In Memory area." I made an appearance at the funeral home when Jim passed. I remember seeing Tom Malenfont there. We had a long chat. It is sad to see so many of our contemporaries gone, but then again our hope is for many fine reunions in the life to come....
