Jeffery G. Becker

Jeff was born on April 6, 1958. He passed away on January 7, 2010 in Alexandria, Virginia at the age of 51. Mr. Becker worked at the Beer Institute for 21 years, serving as its President and CEO for the last decade. He was active on numerous boards including, The Sky Ranch Foundation, Alcoholic Beverage Medical Research Foundation, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Committee of 100. Before joining the Beer Institute, Mr. Becker was the National Director of the Techniques of Alcohol Management for the National Licensed Beverage Association where he traveled most of the fifty states, teaching seminars on best practices to prevent underage drinking and drunk driving. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saginaw Valley State University. Mr. Becker was first, and foremost, a husband, father, and friend. He was an avid golfer, reader, and cook, as well as a keen political observer and enthusiastic sports fan. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Larsen Becker, and their beloved children, Megan and Max Becker, all of Alexandria. He also leaves his brothers, Robert Becker Jr. and his wife, Joan, of Williamsburg, VA, and John Becker and his wife, Ellen, of Toledo, OH; seven nieces and nephews; and his mother, Valerie Leverton Becker of Tawas.  Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Robert Becker
