Carol Ann Hatton (Greenough)

Carol Ann Greenough, age 66 of Prescott, MI., passed away in Tawas, MI., on September 26, 2024. Carol was born on December 13, 1957 in Saginaw, MI., to the late Thomas and Geraldine (Arndt) Hatton.
Carol was a former resident of Saginaw. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1976. She went to work for Wanigas Credit Union and was with them for 28 years, eventually retiring in 2010.
Carol made a great impact with her smile and always putting herself last. She believed in her community and her friends and co workers, working on community projects with too many to list. Her greatest memories were her 36 shows at Pit n Balcony and then after kids getting them involved and doing shows with them.
Vacation Bible Schools and singing in the choir at church, making hats n mittens and making holiday breads for our friends. Many other things but these stand out at the moment.
Even though she had many health struggles she continued to do everything she was able after retirement. She was a giver of herself and her talents. Carol enjoyed knitting and reading. She also liked anything to do with the British Royal family and British TV.
Carol is survived by her husband, John Geoffrey Greenough; children, Jamieson Greenough of Prescott, Oliver Greenough of Des Moines, WA.; brother, William (Janice) Hatton of Saginaw; sister, Susie (Ken) Williams of Hemlock, MI., and many nieces, nephews, and childhood friend, Cindy (Butch) Gorney of Alabaster.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents.
Per Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place Saturday, October 19, 2024. Visitation from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Funeral at 3:00pm. Chaplain Evan Orban will be officiating.
