Debbie Ann Plowman (Merz)

February 4th, 1958 - October 2nd, 2023

Our beloved wife, sister, and aunt passed away with her loved ones at her side on Monday, October 2nd, 2023, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 65. Debbie was born in Saginaw on February 4th, 1958, to the late William Sr. & Mary Lou (Wald) Merz and was a 1976 graduate of Arthur Hill. She met James “Jim” Plowman at the Moose Lodge #82 and the two would marry on July 27th. 1990. He survives her. Debbie spent her working years in the front end at Kroger, retiring in February of 2023. In her free time, she was a passionate supporter of Detroit Red Wings hockey and University of Michigan football. Debbie loved to cross stitch and documented many special moments with her family on her trusty VHS camcorder. Debbie is remembered as being kind, but opinionated, and would always let you know what was on her mind. She had a heart of gold full of love for her friends and family and will be greatly missed. 

Debbie is survived by her husband Jim Plowman; siblings David (Lisa) Merz, Richard Merz, and Sara Merz; and sister-in-law Terri Merz; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by brother William Merz, Jr.; sister Mary Sue Merz; and special nephew Cory Merz.
