Steven W. Sauve
May 29, 1958 - December 11, 2024

Beloved husband and brother passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at HealthSource Saginaw. Age 66 years. Son of the late Leonard and Elizabeth (Prall) Sauve, Steven was born May 29, 1958, in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Sheryl J. Stevens, his loving wife of 13 years, on October 7, 2011. She survives him. Steve was a machinist at Saginaw Industries for 40 years. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. Steve loved cars and raced cars for 37 years. He was inducted in 2003 as a member of Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame. He was a jack of all trades and helped everyone.

Surviving besides his wife Sheryl are three sisters and two brothers, James and Bonnie Sauve, Saginaw; Carolyn and Ron Krzywosinski, Saginaw; Lynn and Paul Reed, Waterford, Michigan; Richard Sauve and his fiancé Christine Gary, Saginaw; Susan and Wayne Gibson, Saginaw; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Bill Huff, Saginaw; Heidi and Ron Fonier, Kentucky; Jeffrey and Phyllis Stevens, Alabama; many nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his son, Steven A. Sauve, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Jackie Shrock and a brother-in-law, Kim Stevens.

Honoring Mr. Sauve’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
