Nancy G Kleekamp - 7/12/1932 - 8/24/2020 Orange, CA Former Saginaw MI resident Nancy G Kleekamp, 89, died August 24th, 2020 at her home in Orange, CA. Nancy was born July 12th, 1932 in Grayling, MI.. Nancy was a teacher for 33 years, teaching 3rd and 4th graders at Jesse Loomis Elementary and South Elementary Schools.

One of her passions was gardening and she went on to become a Master Gardener so that she could teach other individuals the science and art of gardening. Nancy frequently helped with youth art activities at the Juvenile Center, and enjoyed her time with the Saginaw Woman's Garden Club, and was an active member of the Saginaw Children's Zoo. She enjoyed quilting and playing bridge with her friends. Nancy had a love of dogs, having raised many adopted pups. Nancy moved to CA to be closer to her family in the fall of 2018.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents Ernie & Janine Hoesli and her late husband of 47 years, Herbert N Kleekamp. Nancy is survived by her adult son, Herbert J, his wife Terri and 2 adult granddaughters Tracy and Jamie. At her request, no service will be held. Nancy kept a clipping that reads…

"When I come to the end of the day and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me, but not for long and not with your head bowed low. Miss me, but let me go. For this journey we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Maker's plan, a step on the road home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go find a friend we know and bury your sorrow in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go."

Nancy will forever be remembered for her love of family and friends, her wit and her creativity.
