Johnston, Gail Ann, Beaverton, Michigan. Passed away Tuesday evening, June 20, 2006 at St. Mary's of Michigan hospital, at age 56 years. Gail Vandecar was born on September 10, 1949 in Bay City, Michigan. She was married to Ronald G. Johnston, Jr. on June 13, 1980. Surviving besides her husband are two children, Ronald Johnston III and Erica and John Brisbois; also her three beautiful grandchildren; two uncles, Eddie Howell, John Howell; her aunt, Ann Humm and numerous worldwide friends. 'When Gail made a friend, they were friends for life.'

Gail and I were in swimming class together. The cotton bathing suits fit when you put them on but stretched badly after you got them wet. We swore each other to secrecy when we had to take each other's measurements. Oh the things that keep you humble.
