In Memory

Dawn Johnson (Browne)

Dawn Johnson (Browne)

Dawn Browne

April 30th, 1949 - August 30th, 2022

Age: 73 years

In loving memory, as well as in admiration and celebration of the life of Dawn LaRee (Johnson) Browne, who after putting up a fierce and courageous fight against various illnesses and injuries throughout the course of her years, was called home to be reunited with her previously deceased, long yearned for & adored parents, Roy Kenneth & Mary Catherine Johnson, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

Dawn was a proud class of 1967 graduate of the former Douglas MacArthur High School in Saginaw, MI. She married Dennis Michael Browne in 1971 while pursuing a career as a certified nursing assistant; working at a couple of local facilities before choosing to focus on starting a family. She relocated to the Bay City area where she then resided for the majority of her life; later on settling into an empty nest and retirement lifestyle in beautiful East Tawas.

Dawn was a loving, strong, and intuitive individual who enjoyed leisurely walks with her husband or close friends as well as simply curling up with a good book and a beloved pet. She brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed by those fortunate to have been graced by her presence.

Dawn leaves behind to mourn her loss, a devoted husband of 51 years, Dennis Michael Browne of East Tawas; a daughter, Jennifer Dawn Browne of Bay City; a son, James Dennis Browne of Temple Terrace Fl, her fraternal twin brother, Dennis Johnson and his wife Linda, of Saginaw; an older brother, Thomas Johnson and his wife Connie, of Clare; as well as many nieces and nephews. She has left behind a very treasured aunt, Marie Catterfield of Saginaw; and also one grandson, Harrison Neil Morse of Detroit. Not to be forgotten, are also the multitudes of close and lifelong friends Dawn has left behind; one of the nearest and dearest being Sandra Nolan of Essexville, who along with her husband and daughter, were at her side to help provide comfort and support at the end of her long, tough journey.

Per Dawn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service or memorial is to be held at this time. The family has intentions to honor Dawn with a memorial to be scheduled at a later date.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
