His Legacy...Karl Butzky, age 69, passed away, April 20, 2016 at home in Pinckney. Karl was born in Detroit on November 4, 1946 to Wilford and Betty (Buttermore) Butzky. He married Lana L. Kellerman on June 19, 1971 in Redford, MI. Karl was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and U of M football. He also enjoyed hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons.
His Family...Karl is survived by his loving wife Lana; children, Matthew (Melissa) Butzky and Katie Butzky; grandsons, Vincent, William, Henry and Charlie; brothers, David and Eric Butzky. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Butzky.
His Farewell...Karl's family and friends will gather on Sunday, April 24 from 2:00-8:00PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel, Howell, MI. Karl's Community Farewell will be held on Monday, April 25 at 11:00AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 9575 N. Territorial Rd., Dexter, MI 48130, with gathering beginning at 10:00AM. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Lutheran Church.
