Conzelmann, David William David William Conzelmann, age 71, of Gladwin, MI, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2017 in Pensacola, FL with his family by his side. David was born on December 1, 1945 in Saginaw MI to the late Helmuth and Alice (List) Conzelmann of Frankenmuth, MI. He attended St. Lorenz Lutheran School in Frankenmuth, Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Western Michigan University, and earned advanced degrees from both MSU and Wayne State. He retired as Superintendent of Tawas Area Schools in 2003. In 1971, he married Mary Ann Templin in Standish, MI. She predeceased him in 2003. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Sarah (Matt) Burton of Caledonia, MI; Kathryn (Kevin) Zaskowski of Rockford, MI; and Mark (Jourdan) Conzelmann of Biloxi, MS. He is also survived by grandchildren Drew and Ty Burton, Lilah Zaskowski and Susan and Sandra Conzelmann; two brothers Lyle Conzelmann. of Reese, and Thomas (Judith) Conzelmann of Frankenmuth; sisters-in-law Kathy Drake (Patrick) and Susan Templin Amaral as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister-in-law, Shirley Conzelmann and brother-in-law, Gus Templin. According to Dave's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will take place at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth on February 10, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Fenske officiating. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Tawas Area Education Association or the American Heart Association.
