To Joyce's family: Joyce and I were good friends back in high school. I will always cherish memories of her, her upbeat and a bit rebellious nature and her way of seeing the world. I am sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. I know she must have been very proud of such a large family and you should be proud of her also. I trust you will find peace in good memores of a long and well-lived life.

I just received notice of Joyce's passing, and I am truly stunned. She was a good classmate and friend, and she will be missed by many -- including at our reunion. I look forward, however, to a far greater reunion that is waiting for all who fall asleep in Jesus.
For those of us who are left behind, may we follow our Lord and Savior as we were taught at our alma mater and elsewhere, and, by His grace, when our time comes, receive that crown of life that will never perish, spoil or fade -- God's gift to all through faith in Jesus.
Blessed be Joyce's memory!

To the family of Joyce Hausmann,
I, too, am a 1966 high school classmate of Joyce. I can not say that I knew her well or that we were good friends but just the same I wish to express to you my sincere sympathy. I would have enjoyed seeing her and George again after so very many years. May God be with you each and every day as you journey through the rest of your lives without her. May you recieve His comfort and lasting peace.

For those of you not on Facebook and did not see my post: I attended Joyce's funeral today and can say that our confidence that she was loved by her Savior, had full faith in her Savior, and is now with her Savior, is a truly well-placed confidence.Thomas Westendorf
Thanks for attending the funeral and representing those of us who couldn't be there, and for the wonderful message of confidence, Butch!
