Discussion Posted Tuesday, February 21, 2012 07:40 PM I, with my limited computer skills, will attempt to generate some discussions, jar-loose some memories, and broadcast some "positive waves". We all have at our behest this very usefull tool to communicate and pontificate with each and other - - hence I shall try to "open-up" some reason (s) to communicate with other classmates. With the economic situation being what it is, this past 3-4 years has been a period in time that forced me to teach myself/to learn self-control, endurance, faith, and empathy, and to put others ahead of myself. Never, would I have forecasted that our nation would suffer such a long and deep recession. I also think there is good news, and that would be that the exteme majority of us (our class) had heard the stories directly from our parents & grandparents - - about the "30's", and the subsequent days of WW II - - consequently, we had some grasp of what could happen. As a result of "how things are", I finally understand my parents; the reasons for their conservitive ways, their not wasting, and the work ethics, and the moral values they held. I do indeed feel fortunate to be a product of a that generation. This all may sound a bit strange, especially coming from me, however, better late than never, I think I am starting to grasp the "greater picture", and the real mission for our life. John McCormick |
