Leonard Pringle, the Central Campus restaurant management department chair, passed away on April 19, 2012

“He was carrying out his duties here at the Central Campus preparing for a full day with the culinary classes and the Culinary Café when he was stricken unexpectedly,” commented Dr. Neil Matkin, Central Campus president. “Leonard was a dedicated and colorful man who contributed a lot of his life to the college and his students. Everyone already misses him terribly, especially his colleagues in the Culinary Department and his students.”

San Jacinto College employees are invited to a ceremony to celebrate Leonard Pringle’s life, to be held on Thursday, April 26 at the culinary department classroom B16.222 (upstairs in the Ball Technical Building). Employees can visit any time between 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Refreshments and snacks will be served.

“Leonard was an instructor, friend, and mentor and it is fitting that we pause to celebrate his life,” commented Matkin.

The SJC Foundation office has established a Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor Leonard Pringle.

Anyone interested in making contributions may contact the Foundation office, phone: 281-998-6104; email:info@sanjacfoundation.org.
