Scott Eugene Deppe

Mahomet, Illinois– Scott Eugene Deppe, 55, passed away on Tuesday (April 5, 2011) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11, at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at the funeral home.

Mr. Deppe was born on July 12, 1955, in Concordia, Kan., a son of Merle "Red" and Carol Owen Deppe. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and four children, Ashlee, Cody, Kayla and Karlee; a brother, Bruce Deppe of Salina, Kan.; and a sister, Denise Miller and husband Dan of Olathe, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Mickey.

Mr. Deppe worked for Kraft Foods in Champaign for 20 years. He was a talented artist who especially loved watercolor painting. His hobbies were golfing and fishing. He was a sports enthusiast and his favorite teams included the Kansas Jayhawks, Cubs, Bears and the Illini. He was an animal lover who spoiled his three dogs, and he was a devoted family man.
