Timothy J. Lavery, 38, of 3121 Huehl Circle, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1993, in a traffic accident on Interstate I-135 near the Mentor exit, Saline County, KS.

Mr. Lavery was born April 11, 1955, at Valley Forge, Pa., and had lived most of his life in Salina.  He was a professional musician and played piano and keyboards.  He worked for S. M. Hanson Music Company, gave private lessons and played keyboards for two area bands, Jazz Tangent and the Blades.

Survivors include two daughters, Katie Lavery and Megan Lavery, both of Salina;  his parents, Carole Lavey and Dr. Robert Lavery, a brother, Tom; three sistes, Kathleen Lavery, Judy Harris, and Mary Beth Laughlin and his grandmother, Kathryne Lentz.

The funeral will be at 2 pm Friday at the Emmanuel Foursquare Gospel Church, the Rev. Loren Houltberg officiating.  Burial will be in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
