David Robert Hubbard died Monday, June 18, 2007, in Salisbury, North Carolina, after suffering for several years from Parkinson’s Disease.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the 1960’s and was stationed in Alaska.  He worked as a welder for Lyon-Shaw Company and later worked at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center, until retirement.  He was survived by brothers, Henry C. Hubbard, Jr. and Joel S. Hubbard, sisters, Ruth Young, Ann Hubbard, Jane Morton, and Sara Fairey, and a number of nieces and nephews.
