Robert Lee Kimble, Jr., 76, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. He retired in 2010 as a Mechanical Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding after more than 35 years service. He was a member of Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church and was an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 6 in Newport News. He enjoyed feeding the neighborhood "critters", gardening, fishing, camping, hiking, and working on classic cars. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Judith S. Kimble; two children, Ryan Kimble of Williamsburg, and Colin Kimble (Amanda) of Richmond; a sister Anne K. Burdette (John) of Advance, NC; one grandchild, Grey Kimble; a niece Meredith and a nephew Michael. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at W. J. Smith and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will immediately follow the service.
