Rebecca Peeler Parsons died October 16, 2008, at her home in Oakton, Virginia.  She attended Converse College and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She founded a children’s book distribution center “Bookwise.”  She was survived by her husband, David Parsons, her son, Darren Parsons, a daughter, Amy Jeffries, three grandchildren, a sister, Shirley Peeler Ritchie, and a brother, Larry Peeler.
