Douglas Neil Setzer, 75, of Rockwell passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Avante of Concord.                                             

Born November 30, 1942 in Rowan County, Douglas was a son of the late Lola M. Setzer and the late Ralph P. Setzer.

He was a graduate of Boyden High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserve.  Douglas worked as a Quality Control Supervisor with Reynolds Metal Company, and was Head Custodian of the Rowan/Salisbury Schools.

He was a Christian man who enjoyed model railroading, traveling, playing golf, fishing, and the mountains and beach.

Douglas is survived by his son, Daniel Setzer (Adala) of Stanfield, brother, Jerry Daniel Setzer of Gloucester, VA, granddaughter, Alexa Setzer and a dog named Pepper.

Service:   11:00 AM Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines with the Rev. Jim Vickrey officiating, burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park.  with Military Honors being accorded by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard
