Such fun times with "Dick" at Wasatch School: with bicycle path trails set up by SLC, pomp, tag, in Miss Una Smirthwaite's class (Kindergarten and First grade). Playing war games; going thru the underground passage to the playground across South Temple for tag, even "hopscotch" against the girls. East high, German class with Herr Zarr. I particularly remember his frantic antics when he was called upon to the front of the class to speak a German poem, but he was having a singularly male problem, he wreathed and spun to get behind Herr Zarr's
desk; Herr Zarr was particularly unimpressed with his stage presentation, but very pleased with his German poem.
He was always very bright, interesting, a great friend, fun, interested. I miss him already.
