(Clyde) Roy Ferrin was born May 4, 1936 in Salt Lake City to Clyde Moroni and Hazel Alice Frost Ferrin and passed away peacefully Saturday, February 2, 2013.

Roy served as a missionary for the LDS Church in the Samoa, Apia mission where he taught music at the church school.  Roy graduated from the University of Utah in Music education.  He had a long and illustrious career as a band leader starting in Vernal and then in Tooele where he taught elementary through High School students for 34 years.  Under his leadership the Tooele High School Band received many accolades with performances in Tournament of Roses Parades and Presidential inaugurations.

He is survived by his wife (Ruth), his sons, Craig, Bart, and his daughters Kristeen, Heidi, and Connie.  He also has 22 grandchildren.
