Richard Irving "Dick" Knaphus born Aug. 24, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Kimball and Lois (Hooper) Knapus died due to complications of a brain tumor. Served an LDS mission to the Eastern States, and a construction mission to New Zealand. Worked in tile contracting, sales, and the Arabian horse business for much of his life. Survived by sister and nine children: Kathie (Kerry) Christensen of Provo, Brad (Mary) of Manti, Sherrie (Mark) Goaslind of West Jordan, Lori (JL) L Lavina of Draper, Carolyn (Kirk) Tyler of Provo, Kemberli (Troy) Bench of Draper, Hillori (Rob) Green of Mapleton, Heather Poole of Vernal, and Amber (William) Barton of Pocatello, 53 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dick was known for his sense of humor, his tenacity, and his love of being with people, especially his family. Interment at Salt Lake Cemetery.
