Here is the Obituary for our very talented Classmate Norris Peery:
Norris Ray Peery born Sept 28, 1935
Norris Peery died peacefully in his home on August 22, 2017 in Anacortes
Washington.
Norris was born in Santaquin, Utah. HIs parents were George Allen Peery and
Rachel Peterson Peery. He was later stepson to Peter Paul Laboroi.
He was a very intelligent man and had interests in physics, geology and astronomy.
As a youth in Utah, he helped to start a Rocket Society which still exists today.
He earned a B.S. in Engineering at University of Utah, Salt Lake City.
Norris served in the US Air Force.
In 1960 and 1961 Norris worked for Howard Hughes as a radician on the DEW line,
helping keep America safe from foreign invasion.
He had a lifetime pursuit of creating a sustainable energy by the cold fusion of
hydrogen into helium. He made significant breakthroughs in this area.
Norris authored several books, fiction and non fiction. He also composed music for
piano, wrote poetry and was a painter.
He was a member of the Democratic Party, Ice Age Floods Institute, and various
other science based clubs.
Norris traveled the world extensively, with a special interest in Egypt where he
created his own 3D movies of ancient Egypt in the 1950’s.
He is preceded in death by his parents, step sister Norma Laboroi Nisbet, and
brother Richard L. Peery.
He is survived by his family Ahmad, Theresa, Alexander and Daniel Attaie; and
nieces Judith Nisbet Middleton and Patricia Marie Culina.
Norris had great love for his animal companions, Teka and Mikey.
Norris will forever be in our hearts and memories.
