Our loving mother, Beatrice Lyday, age 39, passed away Thursday, April 13, 1991 at a local hospital.
She was born October 26, 1951 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Albert Norman and Nellie Ruth Ridings Malone.
Survived by her children, Jared, Terry, Honey and Lois, all of Salt Lake, one grandson and one granddaughter; three sisters, Glenda Gibson, Sandy; Connie Yee, Arizona; and Margaret Malone, Indiana.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 18th, at 7 p.m. in the Rosedale Ward Chapel (660 North Redwood Road). Funeral Directors: Russon Brothers Mortuary.

Ollie Beatrice (Malone) Weaver was the daughter of Nellie Ruth (Ridings) Weaver. She married Jared Lee Lyday and they were the parents of four children.

April 13, 1991 - Beatrice Lyday, 39, 519 N. 1400 West, was shot in the abdomen and in the head by her estranged husband, Jared Lee Lyday, 57. Police said Jared Lyday began attacking his wife and their 15-year-old daughter with a hammer. He then shot his wife as she ran out of the house. He later killed himself at a nearby park as officers approached him. [Incidentally, his father shot and killed his wife in 1973, then shot himself.]
