Cheryl Anderson (Zimmerman)

Cheryl Anderson Zimmerman 1952 ~ 2010 Cheryl Lynne Anderson Zimmerman, returned to her Heavenly Father, Friday, July 30, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born August 5, 1952 to Robert Albert Anderson and Marilynn Joanne Hansen Anderson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Granite High School and worked many years for the Salt Lake County Sheriff's office. She married Winfred Josef Zimmerman, October 23, 1970. Together they had a son, Richard Josef Zimmerman. They later divorced. Although Cheryl endured a lifetime of various illnesses, she endured them with strength and courage. She was a fighter with no self pity. She was a loving mother, proud grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her big heart, sweet smile, her ability to make friends easily, and her willingness to give love unconditionally. We were blessed to have her for as long as we did. Her greatest joy in life was her son Richard and her four precious grandchildren. She was able to accomplish a life long dream when she was endowed in the Jordan River Temple on August 30, 2007. Preceded in death by her father, Robert Albert Anderson. Survived by her devoted son, Richard (Jodie) Zimmerman, SLC; grandchildren, Savana, Gavin, Traver, and Denver; mother, Marilynn Anderson, Salt Lake; sisters, Janet (Frank) Reid, South Jordan, and Lori Anderson, Salt Lake. She is Also survived and loved by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Cheryl's family would like to thank Ralph and Kathee Bradley for many years of love and support and her sweet friend, Don Skinner.
