
Arly Hess Thomsen
Arly H. Thomsen died January 20, 2000 in his Holladay apartment, at the age of 47, due to natural causes.
Born August 1, 1952, he led a happy life. He joined the Navy in 1970 and served two tours of duty aboard the U.S.S. Repertus DD851, as a Signalman in the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked in the film industry as a Grip. He went on to the University of Utah where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Geography. After he earned his degree, he continued to work in the film industry and finished his career as a Key Grip.
He is survived by his son, Jens; father, Orvill Thomsen; four sisters, Evelyn Oberg, Anni Stafford, Inge-Lisa Goss, Elaine Fisher; and his ex-wife and friend, Arrah Thomsen.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday January 24, 2000 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends my call one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
