You were a good friend Ron! I have some fond memories playing along side you on that defensive line. You sure had a way of taking care of the middle. You always seemed happy and were friendly to all. We miss you and we'll see you on the other side some day.....Mike
RonaldPeter Copier 1962 ~ 2004 Out of a family of twelve, how do you choose a favorite? Today, April 10, 2004 our favorite son, brother, uncle and friend passed away. We appreciate the last couple of weeks we were able to spend with Ron sharing our love and memories. Ron was born April 1, 1962 in Salt Lake City, the eleventh child of Govert and Frederika Copier. Ron graduated from Granite High School where he was an all region football player and participated in wrestling. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ron bought his first horse at 14 and had a lifelong love for horses. Ron was currently employed at Jet Blue Airlines and we appreciate the support they've given the family. Ron had an amazing ability to make friends where ever he went. This was evident by the numerous friends that visited, called and sent letters. Survived by his parents, brothers and sisters: John (Wanda); Govert; Jean (Gordon) Jolley; Fred (Judy); Rick; Marsha (Ron) Vandermyde; Dave (Pam); Sandy (Glenn) Neill; Shirley (Greg) Hill; Steve (Jane); Joyce (Cory) Searle; 39 nieces and nephews. Our thanks go to his wonderful friends that showed kindness and support and made the last month special for Ron. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Millcreek 8th Ward, 4600 South 600 East, Murray, Utah. Friends may call Tuesday, April 13, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road (1700 West) and Wednesday April 14, at the church 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
