Kathy Ann Silversmith Mackel

Death:  August 15, 2004

Lupton, New Mexico - Funeral Services for Kathy Ann Mackel, 40, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stake Center, Gallup, New Mexico.  Burial will follow at the Gallup City Cemetary, Gallup, New Mexico.

Mackel died August 15, 2004 in Scottsdale, Arizona.  She was born September 17, 1963 Fort Definance into the Water Flows together people clan for the One who Walks Around People Clan.  

Mackel attended school in Sanders and Highland High School in Salt Lake City, UT and Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.  She worked for K-Mart, Bingo Truck Stop and Giant Convenience Stores.  Mackel enjoyed running, basketball, family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, James Mackel; daughters, Tiffany Duncan, Michelle Mackel; Parents, Jim and Emma Silversmith; brothers, Herman Lynch, Justin Brown, Wayne Silversmith; sisters, Margaret Yazzie, Marjorie Dayea, Cecelia Silversmith and Norma Jean Silversmith.

Mackel was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Dayea.  Pallbearers will be Justin Brown, Ryan Brown, Ryan Charles, Alejandro Dayea, Wayne Silversmith and Jordan Silversmith.  Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
