What have you been doing for the last 20 years?

Literally days after graduating from Skyline, I moved out of the state of Utah forever. My folks were moving to Texas and I was off to college. Not having any real ties to the state, I've only been back briefly for a scientific conference. After Skyline, I attended Davidson College (yes, the one where Stephen Curry went) and met my dear wife, Suze.

From there I moved on to Atlanta for a Ph.D. in Cell Biology at Emory University. Continuing my training, we moved to Boston where I did a postdoctoral fellowship at MIT.

In 2003, I joined the faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill to start my own research group in the Lineberger Cancer Center. Our research involves studying how cells migrate and how this process goes very wrong in the late stages of advanced cancer. We've had a great six years (so far) living in Chapel Hill/Durham and raising our two sons, Daniel and Andrew. I hope everyone has a great reunion.
