Class Reunion Photo!
Dear Classmates! If you have not received your copy of the class reunion photo (and we're SOOOOO sorry if you haven't), please contact Stephen Seko directly at sgseko@gmail.com. We should be able to fulfill our original commitment to you at this point in time. Please bear with us. Better late than never. Be sure to include your mailing address and an e-mail (if you have one. If you don't, well it's either time to join the rest of the living or send your telephone number instead).
We hope you're all well as we head into the summer months!
Regards,
Class of '71 Reunion Committee.

We hope everybody enjoyed the holidays and wish you all a bright and promising New Year!
As we begin a new year, please keep us posted on any news you may want to share. We're keenly interested in the lives of our classmates.
Speaking of which, should we have a 45th South High Reunion? This would be down the road in 2016, but hey, it's never too early to start thinking about such things.

And more pics
We've just posted even more pics of the reunion (see 40th Reunion page) courtesy of Yvonne Dobson Wright. Thanks for sharing these with us, Yvonne!

This is a preliminary image of our group portrait session. David Muecke, I hope you don't mind if I share it with everyone. I know I've been anxious to peek at it. Thanks to our photographer, Jon Faldmo and David Muecke, our coordinator! Check the "40th Reunion" link for a larger version of the image below.

After the Reunion
OK. We're going to officially proclaim our 40th Reunion a success! The reason?
All of you were the ones that made the "magic" happen by the grace of your presence.
Thank you all for coming.
Please share your impressions of the reunion with us on the Message Forum page! We want to know what you thought of our 40th Reunion. Were you able to connect with your long lost friends? Were you surprised to see somebody you had forgotten over the years? Check out what others have written about their reunion experience.
Do you have any ideas you'd like to share about another reunion down the road (45th, 50th) or any other event to reconnect?
Diane Alserda has suggested a cruise for our 60th birthdays! What are your thoughts about that?!?
There is a special South High Christmas Chorus Concert forthcoming for the holiday season. Perhaps we could organize a group of classmates to purchase a block of seats so we can reconnect then.
Help us keep this website active with your ideas, your latest and greatest news and of course, photos. We love to see photos!

Share your pics
We noticed a lot of you with digital cameras at the reunion. We hope you're all willing to share some of your photos with us. We want to make those classmates who would not attend feel bad for not coming (or at least give our classmates who wanted to attend but couldn't, an idea of what the reunion looked like).
Send your pics to sgseko@gmail.com and we'll post them upon receipt on our 40th Reunion page.

It's over!
The Reunion is over. It was roughly akin to Thanksgiving dinner, involving hours of planning and preparation, and then it was over in one fell swoop! Hopefully everybody had a good time and was able to reconnect with old friends and perhaps meet new ones. Now we want to get your impressions or stories about your favorite part of the reunion. It may help us determine what worked and what didn't work in the unlikely event that we will ever have another one. So, we would love to hear from you. Click on "Message Forum" to let us know what you thought about our 40th Reunion.

Contributions
We also wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks for those of you who have contributed to the alumni fund. Our fund was entirely depleted from the last reunion, so these additional contributions will help us cover some of the miscellaneous expenses as well as the newly-established website. We appreciate your generosity and support.

Class of 71
It would be fun to see you
Or hear from you at best,
Forty years is not that long
We must not all forget.
We may have a few more wrinkles
Our hair's a little gray
Our bellies my be bulging
But our friendships will all stay.
Some may have stayed in touch
Others gone away
But memories are so precious
Please join us, don't delay.
Some have made some money
Others may have not
Some are now retired
And some their work can't stop.
Our goals are not the same
Our lifestyles different too,
But no matter how we live
We're still cubs through and through!
Some have had real trials
And somehow have pulled through
We'd like to hear your stories
Of how you did pursue.
The years are passing quickly
And our grandchildren will see
We're still all young at heart
Tho' faint the memories be.

I have downloaded the South High class of 1971 as I received it from the South High Alumni Assoc.
They have been very helpful in getting us information.
Look over your information and make sure it is correct and add to your profile anything that should be added. Contact those that you know on the list and have them join our class site also. Word of mouth works great.
*Remember that putting on your profile does not cost anything and we can keep a current running list of everyone from our class..
